2017 Percy Pud 10k

We organise South Yorkshire’s most popular 10km each year which takes place on the first Sunday in December.

The event has grown in popularity from the first race in 1993 when 600 finished the race to recent years when the entry has had to be limited to around 2,700.

Such is the demand for numbers that in each of the last 10 years the race has sold out ahead of time.

Why is it so popular? Traditionally each finisher in the race receives a Christmas pudding for their efforts. Food and seasonal music are provided after the race. Of course, the route is not bad either.

For many, the Percy Pud signals the start of Christmas.

1st Male and 1st Female To receive a Trophy, Vouchers, plus this year a Magnum bottle of Champagne
and a large Mathew Walker Christmas Pudding.

Male 2nd-10th and Female 2nd-7th To receive a Trophy, Vouchers and a bottle of Champagne.

Male Veteran Prizes 40-44 1st-3rd / 45-49 1st-3rd / 50-54 1st-3rd / 55-59 1st-3rd / 1st Over 60+

All above Veterans Category winners to receive a Trophy, Vouchers and a bottle of Champagne.
All Veteran Runners-up to receive a Trophy and a bottle of Champagne.

Course Record: Whoever breaks the course records will win £1000. The current record holders are:

• Mohammad Abu-Rezeq in 2016 (29 minutes 57 seconds)

• Eillish McColgan in 2016 (32 minutes 30 seconds)
